Women in India are increasingly making their mark in diverse fields and breaking barriers. Hence, we at IvyCap Ventures decided to celebrate International Women’s Month instead of celebrating one day dedicated to our IvyCap women change-makers.

As a firm believer in the potential of women entrepreneurs, IvyCap Ventures has always supported and encouraged women to take up leadership roles. My two daughters, both passionate about entrepreneurship make me believe that women in entrepreneurship will continue to make a larger impact. Some of the inspiring women leaders in entrepreneurship such as Vani Kola of Kalaari Capital, Anisha Singh of She Capital, Anjali Bansal of Avaana Capital, Archana Jahagirdar of Rukam Capital, Alka Goel of Alkemi Growth Capital, Nupur Garg of WinPE, and others are already leading the way and making a significant impact in the industry.

At IvyCap Ventures, we have always believed in gender diversity and believe active gender participation across our portfolio. Our companies are also setting goals on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), measured through metrics like the percentage of women in the workforce, and the percentage at managerial and board levels. Our companies also believe in policies against discrimination and equity, such as equal pay for equal work and hiring from underrepresented identities, which have led to an inclusive and respectful workplace with zero tolerance towards any kind of undesired behaviors that can be caused by biases or other reasons. We are proud to have a diverse workforce, with a 50% women workforce in IvyCap Ventures. We are also actively investing in women entrepreneurs across different sectors.

IvyCap Ventures is fortunate to have a diverse workforce that is led by some of the most dynamic women in the industry. I feel proud to acknowledge the immense contribution of our women leaders. They are the driving force behind our success and have been instrumental in shaping our investment approach. Anju Gupta, President IvyCamp is spearheading our efforts to support startups and foster innovation. Her vision and leadership have helped IvyCamp become the most successful startup engagement platform in India. Meera Radhakrishnan and Sheereen Kerketta in her team bring substantial experience in working with startups. I also want to appreciate Sonia Sharma Gupta, our Co-founder, and Head of Investor Relations, who has played a pivotal role in establishing IvyCap Ventures as a leading player in the investment industry. Her strategic insights and extensive experience have been critical to our success. Smita Mishra, CEO of Fandoro Technologies, has been instrumental in driving the growth of our portfolio companies. Her passion for sustainability and commitment to SDG goals have helped us identify and invest in companies that are making a positive impact on society. Madhuri Sawant, Head of Legal, has provided invaluable guidance and support to our team in navigating complex legal issues. Her expertise in legal matters has been crucial in ensuring that our investments are sound and secure. In addition to these leaders, we have Romita Munshi and Jyoti Chauhan working diligently on supporting entrepreneurs across multiple domains. In addition, Randeep Kaur and Chandreyee Bhaumik are proactively working on building the IvyCap brand for global recognition. Overall, I am really thankful for the massive contribution of all the women members of IvyCap Ventures.
